Welcome to Nia’s Place
A SAFE home to welcome women who have been formerly incarcerated back into the community.
Our mission is to provide a safe and healing space for women who have been formerly incarcerated to rest, reset, and begin their journey towards wellness. Named after the Swahili word for purpose, Nia’s Place is committed to supporting women as they navigate the challenges of re-entering society after incarceration.
The problem of women being the fastest growing prison population without adequate resources for successful re-entry is one that we are passionate about addressing. Far too many women have experienced violence and trauma, both before and during their time in prison, leaving deep wounds that need to be healed. As primary caretakers in many cases, the impact of incarceration ripples through families and communities, creating a cycle of broken relationships and unaddressed trauma.
Our solution at Nia’s Place is a holistic and restorative approach to healing. We focus on addressing generational trauma and helping women reconnect with their inner selves in a supportive and nurturing environment. By prioritizing self-care and self-discovery, we empower women to take control of their healing journey and break free from the cycles of trauma that have held them back.
